Does anyone know wether this crane was solely used for coal?
I would like to use it as a crane in my harbour, but are wondering wether this would be realistic.

Hej Gert!
This small crane was used to load coal into steam engine tenders. I think it is too small for ship loading/unloading.
You need a crane like the attached picture.
My grandfather was actually operating a coal crane like this one - it was just running on a steel-girder bridge in Køge south of Copenhagen.
A plastic kit is made of this crane - but just in a few numbers. It has been sold from "Trinbrættet" in Aarhus. Try to contact : info@Perron4.dk

But other small cranes ... were used both at harbors and train stations for loading and unloading. There is a well preserved one in the harbor of Nyborg - and I think there is a similar one at the train museum in Odense.
