I noticed Roco's MZ 1401 is not available with sound decoder. This seems strange to me sice all other MZ locos from Roco are available with sound decoder.
Is the inside of the MZ 1401 constructed in a different way than the previous MZ models? Or would it be possible to swap the sound decoder of such model to the MZ 1401?
Kind regards,
Gert

Roco's MZ 1414, 1420, 1402 and 1401 is inside the same electronic. No problemo to take a locsound from one af the Roco MZ to 1401.

Thanks Holger!
I heard Hobbytrade has made exactly the same loco (MZ 1401).
Wich one would you recommend? The Roco model or the Hobbytrade model?
Kind regards,
Gert

I havn't seen Hobbytrades version of the MZ 1401, but I have Rocos model in my collection. It's an absolute beauty and it runs like a dream. No derailing, basicly no noise from the motor or transmission and it will happily pull a 3-4 meter long train.
Mr. Larsen of Hobbykælderen has mounted a LokSound-dekoder in my model - no problem at all.
Mvh. Thomas.
