Did you add extra weight and replaced the plastic wheels in order to improve the vehicle's track-holding qualities, or is the model for display purpose only ?.

Indeed. I added extra weight and I replaced the original plastic wheels with DCC metal wheels from ROCO Ref. 40194.
I use Märklin C Track, and using DCC metal wheels it allows me to use my model on DCC and AC tracks.
AC metal wheels cannot be used on DCC tracks for obvious reasons!
Metal wheels and extra weight are a "must have" if you want a model pulled by a locomotive on your layout. I always apply metal wheels on Kibri models.
