Fiskekutter pa værft

Hi,

I would like to show my latest modelship. This one is inspired by the pictures I made at Gilleleje Harbour and especially the shipyard overthere.

The model is based on a Artitec kit. The painters are from Noch.

What do you think? Does it look Danish?

Kind Regards,

Gert (from Holland)

Thanks Mads. Yes I've red somewhere that these letters tells you where the cutter comes from. Yet I've never managed to find out the logic behind the system. For instance Faaborg at Fyn has the letters SG. Why is that? FB would have been more logic it seems.

Kind Regards,

Gert

According to a good friend of mine who has also been a fisherman for many years, you can see a complete list of the letters used in the "license plate" of every Danish fishingboat, in a book called "Fiskeriårbogen".

I'm about to retrieve this list from the aforementioned book ...

The letters is for the policearea. But I can't either not understand why it is SG, maybe somthing Svenborg?

So etc a boat from Thyborøn has the letter L because it belong to Lemvig Policedistrikt Laughing out loud

Thanks for your replies!

My modelboats carry the letters MV, after the man who actually builds them (I design the models after photo's and pictures I've made myself in Denmark and he - a very good modeller, specialised in model ships - builds the models based on Artitec kits).

Well I guess I now have to make up a fictionary destrict name with the letters MV.

Any suggestions? Laughing out loud

Kind Regards,

Gert
